Ice Cream Dough Italian Horn Cookies

These came out very delicious. Very similar to rugelach pastries. UIse a thick filling like Solo brand and not a pie filling. Vary type of fillings also
Ingredients:
1 cup butter ( no substitutes )
4 cups flour
2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
1 can, of solo brand cherry, apricot or poppyseed filling.

Directions:
1. Cut butter into flour to coarse meal consisitency
2. Stir in ice cream to make a dough
3. Divide into 4 pieces
4. Cover and chill 2 hours
5. On a lightly floured surface roll each into 1/8 thick circle.
6. Score 6 to 8 pieces
7. Spread about 1/2 tsp of pie fillingon each section.
8. Roll up into a horn shape, form inmto a horn.
9. Sprinkle with sugar.
10. Bake on ungreased baking sheets preheated 350 F oven about 10 to 12 mins or golden
11. Cool on racks.
12. Freezes well
13. May also dust with powder sugar for a festive look
