This is a simple desert that looks elegant and tastes wonderful Ingredients:
1 pkg puff pastry sheets |
1 qt good quality vanilla ice cream (bryers vanilla bean) |
caramel sauce |
1 cp brown sugar |
1cp sour cream |
1 tsp vanilla |
finely chopped pecans optional (you can use sprinkles, cherries, whipped cream or any garnish your heart desires) |
Directions:
1. Ice cream cups 2. roll out puff pastry sheets 3. cut out six circles from each sheet 4. press circles into lightly greased cupcake pan 5. roll remaining doug and cut into interesting shapes and place on cookie sheet 6. Bake according to pkg instructions 7. Caramel sauce 8. mix brown sugar and cream in a small sauce pan 9. gently heat and cook for about two minutes 10. stir in vanilla and cool 11. When every thing is cool place your cups on a baking sheet 12. Put one large scoop of ice cream in each cup 13. drizzle caramel sauce over each 14. sprinkle with nuts 15. place a few pastry shapes on top or around the sides. 16. Cover with plastic wrap or slip whole pan in large plastic bag and place in freezer until ready to serve. This is so good and looks so pretty |
