From my grandma's recipe files.... Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 cups oatmeal |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. 2. Mix everything together. 3. Shape into two rolls. 4. Wrap in wax paper and chill about 3 hours. 5. slice and bake and 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. |
