This recipe does not give an oven tempetuare only that they bake rather slow. Prep does not include chill time. Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter, melted |
1 c. brown sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 c. nuts |
1 1/2 c. flour |
1/4 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. baking powder |
1/4 tsp. soda |
1 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together and make into two rolls. 2. Wrap in wax paper and chill. 3. Slice rather thin and bake rather slow. 4. They are best when not allowed to get too done. 5. You will think it calls for too much flour but it will work in. 6. ===================================================== 7. shai 43 minutes ago said: 8. Joy of Cooking has a similar recipe that we have used for years. It says 400F for 8-10 minutes, but I think I usually bake at 350 for about same amount of time. They get crispy quickly and are better if not overdone, IMO. |
