WARNING-serious indulgence cake! Ingredients:
1 sponge cake, ready made |
1 lb butter |
2 cups icing sugar |
4 eggs |
250 ml heavy cream |
fresh fruit, of your choice or canned fruit |
cocoa powder (optional) or instant coffee powder (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cut cake to fit a bowl. 2. Blend butter & sugar, beat until creamed. 3. Add eggs one by one. 4. Add cream. 5. Add coco powder or coffee powder at this point for choc OR coffee flavoured ice. 6. Beat until thick & stiff. 7. Put cake at bottom layer of bowl. 8. Layer of icing. 9. Layer of fruit. 10. Layer of cake, layer of icing, layer of fruit etc. 11. Finishing with top layer of cream. 12. Decorate top with fruit. 13. Refrigerate - to be kept in fridge. |
