my own recipe that i have always kept to myself ,but i think its now time for others to try and see what they think. can be served with pasta, rice or as i do, good old fashioned chips (fries). Ingredients:
1 lb minced beef |
1 onion (chopped ) |
2 ounces breadcrumbs |
1 egg |
2 teaspoons mixed italian herbs |
1 garlic clove (crushed) |
salt and pepper |
400 g chopped tomatoes |
1 teaspoon basil |
2 teaspoons tomato ketchup |
1/2 pint beef stock |
1 garlic clove (crushed) |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Directions:
1. meatballs. 2. fry onion and garlic until golden brown, add mince and cook for 10 minutes,. 3. drain off any excess fat. then add breadcrumbs,herbs, beaten egg and seasoning.mix together then roll into 1 1/2 inch balls. 4. sauce. 5. add all ingredients into a large pan and bring to the boil. 6. add the meatballs then simmer for 25 mins. |
