This recipe came to me Via the Ellis Island Immigrant cookbook. it originates from Belgium Ingredients:
2 lbs pork loin |
1 cup leek |
2 cups celery |
1 onion |
salt |
pepper |
3 lbs potatoes |
1 cup carrot |
1 cup turnip |
1 small savoy cabbage |
2 quarts water |
Directions:
1. brown meat. 2. add to large pot with water. 3. cut veggies unto chunks and add to pot. 4. bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer 1 hour. |
