Mini cornbread. Serve with seafood, soups or chili. Ingredients:
2 c cornmeal |
1 t flour |
1/2 t baking soda |
1 t baking powder |
1 t salt |
3 t onions, minced |
1 c buttermilk |
1 egg, beaten |
crisco oil |
Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. 2. Add onion and mix with buttermilk. 3. Stir in egg. 4. Drop by a teaspoon full into hot oil and fry 10 minutes or until golden brown. |
