Ingredients:
2 cups cornmeal |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
3/4 teaspoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon red pepper |
dash of garlic powder |
1 small bunch green onions, chopped |
1 3/4 cups milk |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
3 eggs, well beaten |

Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, pepper, garlic powder, and onion in a large mixing bowl. Add milk, 1/2 cup oil, and eggs; stirring until well blended. 2. Carefully drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep, hot oil (350°), cooking only a few at a time. Fry 3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain well on paper towels. Serve immediately. |
