This was served at a favorite mexican recipe of mine. I was FINALLY given the recipe just before the business was sold! It's light, refreshing and inexpensive! You can adjust the alcohol easily by decreasing the wine and adding more juice. Or maybe you want to ad more wine :) Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups shiraz wine |
1 1/2 cups orange juice |
2 tablespoons grenadine or 2 tablespoons marichino cherry juice |
1/2 of an orange |
1/2 of a lime |
1/2 of a lemon |
maraschino cherry (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cut the orange, lemon and lime halves into chunks. Place the citrus chunks into a 1 liter pitcher with the marichino cherries. I like to mash the fruit with a wooden spoon to get more juice and pulp into the drink. 2. Add the wine, orange juice and grenadine and stir. This tastes great served right away. |
