It looks good and using the crock pot makes it easy. The next time a neighbor shares venison (I'm not a hunter) I'll try it out. Ingredients:
1/2 lb bacon, diced |
2 1/2 lbs red potatoes, thinly sliced |
2 medium onions, sliced |
1 1/2 lbs venison steak, boneless and cubed |
2 (14 3/4 ounce) cans cream-style corn |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp; drain. 2. Place potatoes and onions in a 5 quart slow cooker. 3. Top with venison and bacon. 4. Combine the corn, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and seasoned salt; pour over the top. 5. Cover and cook on low fo r6-8 hours or until meat and potatoes are tender. |
