This is a basic recipe for granola bars....The variations are endless...Make them the way you like them Ingredients:
2 cups instant oatmeal |
2 1/2 cups rice krispies |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup unsalted nuts, peanuts, cashews, almonds, any nut you like |
1 cup dried fruits, any kind you like, chopped |
1/4 pound butter |
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) bag mini marshmallows |
1 cup of anything else you'd like to add.. coconut, mini m and m's, reeses pieces(can be 1 cup of one thing or a combo adding up to1 cup) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Put oatmeal on baking sheet and bake 10 minutes 3. Add Rice Krispies and raisins 4. Mix and return to oven for 5 minutes 5. Remove from oven 6. Add nuts dried fruit, and 1 cup of additions 7. Put butter, peanut butter and marshmallows in a large saucepan, stirring until all melted 8. Add dry ingredients 9. Mix then pour into 9 x13x2 baking dish and pat gently until flat 10. Cut into 12 hunks....Thus the name...Hunka Hunka Granola Love |
