This is a tried and true recipe and one that is very popular in my household. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 pound top round steak |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1/4 cup dry red wine |
2 tablespoons oil divided |
1 large sweet onion sliced and separated into rings |
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 tablespoon hungarian paprika |
1/2 cup beef broth |
cooked rice |
Directions:
1. Slice steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips. 2. Combine cornstarch and wine then pour over steak. 3. Pour 1 tablespoon oil around top of wok preheated to 375 degrees then add onion and mushrooms and stir-fry 3 minutes. 4. Remove and set aside. 5. Pour 1 tablespoon oil into wok. 6. Drain steak reserving marinade and stir-fry 3 minutes. 7. Return vegetables to wok. 8. Combine reserved marinade, paprika and beef both then add to wok and cook until thickened. 9. Serve over rice. |
