3 lbs boneless beef roast, cut in 1 inch cubes |
1/4 cup flour |
1/4 cup oil |
3 cups sliced onions |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (10 ounce) can beef broth |
4 quarts water |
3 teaspoons salt |
1 tablespoon oil |
9 cups wide egg noodles |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon poppy seed |
1 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Toss meat with flour to coat. 2. In Dutch oven, brown meat in oil until well browned on all sides. 3. Add onions, paprika, salt, pepper and beef broth. 4. Cover and cook on low for 1-1/2 hours. 5. Bring water, salt and oil to a boil; add noodles and cook for 8 minutes. 6. Drain and rinse under hot water. 7. Toss cooked noodles with butter and poppy seeds. 8. Stir sour cream into meat mixture. 9. Cook on low until heated through, stirring constantly. 10. Serve goulash over noodles. |
