A no-sour cream version Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs stewing beef |
1 onion, chopped |
1 garlic clove, minced |
3/4 cup ketchup |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
2 teaspoons hungarian paprika |
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard |
1 dash red cayenne pepper |
1 1/2 cups water |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/4 cup water |
hot cooked noodles |
Directions:
1. Brown the beef in a small amount of oil. Stir in next 9 ingredients. Simmer, covered 2-2 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. Blend in flour and remaining 1/4 cup water and stir into sauce. Cook until thickened. |
