Easy, high protein, low fat snack. Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or in a tortilla wrap. Ingredients:
2 cups black beans, rinsed and drained well if canned |
1 cup chickpeas, rinsed and drained well if canned |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
2 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed paste) |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup olive oil |
Directions:
1. In a food processor purée ingredients until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 2. Chill until ready to serve. |
