I don't remember where I got this recipe, but it's very simple and I usually have the ingredients around since it doesn't use tahini. I sometimes add roasted red peppers or pesto at the end - or make one of each to have red and green hummus at Christmas Ingredients:
1 (19 ounce) can chickpeas |
1/3 cup plain nonfat yogurt |
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil |
2 medium garlic cloves |
3/4 teaspoon cumin |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Drain & rinse chickpeas, reserving 1 T liquid 2. Put all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. |
