For garlic lovers! Made something close to this working in a cafe, and tweaked it to my tastes. It's addicting. Ingredients:
1 can garbanzo beans, drained |
6 cloves garlic, pressed or diced |
1/4 cup roasted tahini |
1/4 cup olive oil |
4 -5 teaspoons lemon juice, to taste |
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin |
1/2 teaspoon dried mint |
1/2 teaspoon white pepper |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except olive oil in food processor, blend. 2. Add olive oil to mixture until it's creamy and spreadable. 3. It's ok if it's a tiny bit chunky. 4. This hummus is best after 2 hours of refridgeration, to let flavors blend. 5. Eat with wheat pita bread, and enjoy! |
