Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) loaf french bread, split horizontally |
1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained |
1/4 cup nonfat sour cream |
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 3 cloves) |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Place bread halves on a baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted. 2. While bread bakes, position knife blade in food processor bowl; add beans and remaining 5 ingredients. Process 1 minute or until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides. Spread bean mixture evenly on cut sides of bread, and slice. |
