Great appetizer Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas |
1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds |
2 lemons, juice of |
2 cloves garlic |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Drain chick peas, reserving 1/2 cup of liquid. 2. Combine all ingredients in blender. 3. Blend until all ingredients are smooth, adding the liquid if needed to thin. 4. Drizzle with olive oil. 5. Serve with triangles of warmed pita bread and fresh veggies. |
