I worked on this recipe for a while before I found one that I was pleased with.The basic recipe is really good but if you like olives omit the salt and water and add I cup of green Israeli olives chopped and 1/2 cup olive brine. Ingredients:
2 cans chickpeas, drained |
1/2 cup canola oil |
1/2 cup tahini |
4 garlic cloves |
juice of one lemon |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cumin |
water, to get good consistency |
Directions:
1. In a food processor blend the garlic, then add the rest of the ingredients slowly adding water until smooth (or the olive brine if you are making olive hummus). Garnish with dried parsley or zatar. Enjoy! |
