This recipe originally hails from a 1977 cookbook called Amish Cooking . Ingredients:
1 lb ground veal |
1 cup breadcrumbs or 1 cup cracker crumb |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 teaspoon butter |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together. 2. Form the mixture into a long, free-form loaf. 3. Bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours. |
