Every once in a while you run across a young one who will not eat anything green - imagine that. When you're a Mom who loves vegetables and cares about the health of your child this can be soooo frustrating. This was one of my early successes at getting my DS to eat green beans. It's based on two premises that worked for me: 1) I called it hors d'ouevers and let him eat them at the table as I was putting the finishing touches on dinner. 2) I let him eat this with his fingers. Don't know why but finger foods seem more attractive to kids. P.S. DS has grown to love all kinds of vegies now! Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut green beans |
1/4 cup ranch dressing |
Directions:
1. Open the can of green beans, drain and place in a bowl. No need to heat. 2. Place ranch dressing in a small bowl or ramekin. 3. To eat: pick up a green bean, dip it in the ranch dressing and pop it into your mouth. |
