How Do I Make - Fruit Smoothies |

There are so many recipes for smoothies out there, but this is the basic way I make them. I don't add any yogurt or milk products, I just let the fruit, always including a banana which helps with sweetness and creaminess, stand alone. Ingredients:
2 cups frozen berries(i save berries while in season to freeze for the winter months) |
1 large banana |
1/2-1 cup 100% fruit juice(apple, grape, white grape, orange, etc) |
2t vanilla |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth and desired consistency. Start with 1/2 cup juice and add more, as needed for blendability and preferred thickness. 2. *a T of pure honey can be added if desired for added sweetness, but grape juice will also be sweeter than some other juices 3. Top with a dollop of unsweetened fresh whipped cream, if desired. |
