A quick dip that is great with corn chips or tortilla chips. A great appetizer for your Mexican themed dinner party. Ingredients:
2 cans hot tamales |
1 can mild chili without beans |
1 1b mexican velveeta or regular velveeta cheese, cubed |
1 onion, chopped |
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper |
1 small can chopped or sliced black olives |
2 dashes hot sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper |
3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Place onions,butter and bell peppers in micro safe bowl. 2. Cook in microwave on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. 3. Add tamales and mash. 4. Stir in chili, garlic powder, cheese, and black pepper. 5. Cover and microwave on high until cheese melts. 6. Stir in hot sauce and top with black olives. 7. Serve with corn chips or tortilla chips. |
