For those cold winter days and nights... Ingredients:
1 quart apple cider |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/2 teaspoon orange peel, grated |
1/4 cup orange juice |
1/4 teaspoon whole cloves |
2 whole allspice |
1 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. In a 2-3 quart pan combine cider and brown sugar over low heat until sugar dissolves. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer uncovered 20 minutes. |
