I think this could be a type of Southern U. S. -Cajun food.. Ingredients:
1 small cabbage-shredded |
1 large onion chopped |
1 bell pepper chopped |
1-28 oz. can of tomatoes- crushed up |
2 strips bacon, cut in small pcs. |
cayenne pepper to taste-- optional |
salt and pepper to taste. |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon until crisp and leave some of the fat in the pan 2. Cook onions and bell pepper until softened in the fat 3. add cabbage and stir well . 4. pour in the tomatoes salt and black pepper 5. add cayenne if you want 6. Let simmer about an hour or until cabbage is soft. |
