I got this recipe from someone I worked with about 30 years ago. I'm not sure why the name, unless it originally used scotch bonnet peppers or something. Ingredients:
3 quarts ripe tomatoes, chopped |
4 onions |
1 large sweet pepper |
3 -4 jalapeno peppers |
1 -2 teaspoon red pepper |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup vinegar |
1 1/2 tablespoons salt |
Directions:
1. Chop everything and put in a pot. Cook until thick or reduced by half. |
