This is amazing. So many great flavors going on here. This is good for breakfast, brunch or even a snack. We love it and hope you do too. Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked long grain white rice |
2-1/4 cup water |
1/4 cup diced dried pear |
1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
3 tablespoons honey |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
thin slices of butter |
1 fresh pear sliced |
Directions:
1. Combine rice, water, dried pear, butter and salt in a medium sized saucepan. 2. Heat to boiling stirring well and cook covered over low heat for 20 minutes. 3. Add milk and cook over low heat stirring for 5 minutes. 4. Spoon into bowls and drizzle with a spiral of honey. 5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add thin slivers of butter to melt on top of the cereal. 6. Top with the fresh fruit. |
