Next time you've got the smoker or grill with a cover fired up, try these. You won't believe how good they are. Use your imagination on the seasoning, type of wood, choice of nuts, etc. Ingredients:
1 cup pecans (raw) |
1 cup walnuts (raw) |
1 cup cashews (raw) |
1 cup almonds (raw) |
pam cooking spray |
1 -2 teaspoon salt |
2 -3 teaspoons chili powder |
1 -2 teaspoon cayenne |
Directions:
1. Add raw nuts in a shallow aluminum disposable pan. 2. Spray with Pam to coat. 3. Season with salt and spices to taste. 4. Smoke in smoker or use indirect heat method on a grill with a cover (Webber is best). Cook at 225 degrees for about an hour. I prefer mesquite, but hickory or pecan would be good choices too. 5. Let cool then serve up. |
