Hot 'n Spicy Cheeseburgers |

These are great when you're tired of the same old hamburger. We use our outside gas grill all winter long in Maine! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1/4 cup banana pepper, seeded &chopped (we use vlasic) |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/2 cup barbecue sauce (classic flavor) |
6 slices thin cheddar cheese |
6 hamburger buns, split & toasted |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the beef, peppers& cumin. 2. Shape the beef into 1-inch thick patties. 3. On the grill rack, place the patties over medium hot coals. 4. Grill, uncovered until done (approx. 10 min on first side for a medium and 12 minutes for a well-done). 5. Flip burgers and brush often with the BBQ sauce. 6. The last minute of grilling place a cheese slice on each burger; heat until melted. 7. Serve on the toasted buns. 8. These can also be broiled in the oven. |
