This is a real warmer-upper for those cold nights or after sledding or skiing days!! Ingredients:
1 gallon apple cider, divided |
1 1/2 cups water |
6 whole cloves |
5 whole allspice |
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
6 cinnamon sticks |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
Directions:
1. In covered 6-quart saucepot or kettle, simmer 2 cups apple cider, water, cloves, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks for 10 minutes. 2. Add remaining apple cider and brown sugar; heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves. 3. Keep warm, do not boil. 4. Serve in cups or mugs. 5. Garnish with cinnamon stick. |
