This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Paulson Estate in Boise, Idaho in 1994. Ingredients:
22 ounces mixed dried fruits |
7 cups water |
1/2 lemon sliced |
1 cinnamon stick |
3/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. In 3 quart saucepan combine dried fruits, water, lemon slices and cinnamon stick. 2. Bring to boiling. 3. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 30 minutes or until fruits are tender. 4. Add sugar stirring until dissolved then simmer 5 minutes. 5. Serve warm. |
