A birthday tradition in my family, also makes a delicious strawberry shortcake! Recipe is best doubled, as it goes QUICKLY! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 cup milk, scalded |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs for 3 minutes on high until foamy. 2. Beat in sugar, then add flour and baking powder. 3. Mix in milk and vanilla. 4. Pour into a greased and floured 8” pan and bake at 350* for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until done. |
