This was a hit-easy to prepare and tasty. Recipe courtesy of Country Woman December/January 2010. Ingredients:
2 quarts apple cider or 2 quarts apple juice |
1 quart cranberry juice |
2 cups orange juice |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 cinnamon sticks |
1 teaspoon whole allspice |
1 teaspoon whole cloves |
Directions:
1. In a 5-quart of 6-quart slow cooker, combine the cider, juices, and sugar. 2. Place the cinnamon sticks, allspice, and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth. 3. Bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag. 4. Place in slow cooker. 5. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until heated through. 6. Discard spice bag. 7. Serve warm in mugs. |
