This hearty beefy dip goes great with tortilla chips. Can make it ahead and warm it in a crock pot later. Great for a crowd and a real family favorite for football parties. The HEAT factor can easily be fine-tuned to your taste by adjusting the quantity of jalapenos. Ingredients:
3 lbs ground beef |
2 cups chopped onions |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
2 teaspoons ground cumin |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 lbs velveeta cheese |
4 ounces jalapeno peppers, sliced, canned or fresh |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in a skillet until no longer pink. Drain well. 2. Place all of the ingredients in a slow cooker. 3. Stir to combine. 4. Cook on low until cheese is melted. 5. Serve warm with your favorite tortilla chips. |
