I had this at a friends house recently and it was so good, I had to get the recipe from her. She served this with grilled bratwurst and it made for such a nice meal. Ingredients:
5 medium potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch slices (peeled or unpeeled, whichever you prefer) |
1 large onion, chopped |
1/3 cup water |
1/3 cup cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled |
Directions:
1. Mix potatoes and onion in crock pot; mix remaining ingredients except bacon; pour into crock pot. 2. Cover and cook on low setting 8 to 10 hrs or until potatoes are tender. 3. Stir in bacon. 4. Serve. |
