My grandmother's famous hot potato salad Ingredients:
10 lbs potatoes |
2 cups onions, diced |
2 cups celery, diced |
16 slices bacon |
4 tablespoons flour |
1 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/3 cups vinegar |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. Peel, cook and slice potatoes. 2. While they are cooking, cut up bacon, fry until crisp. 3. Stir in flour then add milk until smooth and bubbly. 4. Add remaining ingredients. 5. Cook slowly until vegetables are soft. 6. Pour over hot sliced potatoes and serve. |
