This recipe takes me back to Hot Fudge Creampuffs from Saunder's Candy Store near Detroit. This recipe is a clone of a Michigan favorite, Saunder's Hot Fudge Topping.
Ingredients:
6 ounces semisweet chocolate
4 ounces unsweetened solid baking cocoa
1 cup butter
1 dash salt
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
14 ounces light karo syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients, except vanilla, in double boiler.
2. Cook 30 minutes over boiling water.
3. Stir constantly until smooth.
4. Remove from heat.
5. Beat and add vanilla.
6. Do not over heat.
