Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 stick (1-ounce) butter, melted |
1 cup light brown sugar |
1 1/3 cups hot water |
4 tablespoons cocoa |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, sift flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt together. Add the milk, nuts, vanilla and butter and mix until smooth. Pour into a 9 by 13-inch baking pan. Mix the brown sugar, water and 4 tablespoons cocoa well, and pour over the batter. Bake for about 45 minutes. |
