This is as good if not better than the original recipe and much lighter and healthier. Ingredients:
1 c flour |
1 c sugar,divided,3 |
3 tbs plus 1/4 c baking cocoa divided |
2 tsp baking powder |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/2 c fat-free milk |
1/3 c prune baby food |
1-1/2 tsp vanilla |
1/4 c plus 2 tbs packed brown sugar |
1-1/4 c boiling water |
Directions:
1. In large bowl,combine flour,3/4 c sugar,3 Tbs cocoa,baking powder and salt. In another bowl,combine the milk,baby food and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just till moistened. Spread into an 8' square baking dish coated with spray. 2. Combine brown sugar with remaining sugar and cocoa;sprinkle over the batter. Carefully pour water over the top(do not stir). Bake,uncovered at 350 degrees for 28-32 mins. or till top is set and edges pull away from the sides of the dish.
