Ingredients:
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1 cup(s) brown sugar (firmly packed) |
6 tablespoon(s) cocoa (divided) |
1 cup(s) flour |
1.75 cup(s) hot water |
0.5 cup(s) milk |
0.25 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil |
whipped cream/ice cream (optional) |
0.75 cup(s) white sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 tbsp. cocoa, baking powder and salt. 3. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. 4. Spread in an ungreased 9-inch square-baking pan. 5. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa and sprinkle over batter. 6. Pour hot water over all. Do not stir. 7. Bake for 35 40 minutes and 350. 8. Serve warm. 9. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired. |
