This is like a brownie, cake, warm pudding all in one. Almost like a pudding cobbler. I always make 2 pans of this. This cake is light and makes a warm chocolate pudding on the bottom.

Ingredients:

1 cup all pupose flour

3/4 cup white sugar

6 tablespoons baking cocoa, divided

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt (usually leave out)

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 3/4 cups hot water

whipped cream or ice cream or heck have both

in medium bowl combine

flour, white sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt.

stir in until smooth

milk, oil and vanilla

spread in an ungreased 9 square pan.

combine and sprinkle over batter in pan

remaining 4 tablespoons cocoa and brown sugar.

pour hot water over all. do not stir

bake 350 for 35-40 minutes.

serve warm.

Directions:

1. Top with whipped cream or ice cream or both.
2. makes 9 servings...I get less per serving. I am generous with my portions. I usually make 2 pans of this.
