I use this recipe to make hot dog sauce. I also use it as a base for chili. My husband likes to use it as a sloppy joe and a chip dip. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground turkey or 2 lbs ground beef |
1 (16 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (use whatever brand you like) |
1 large tomato, diced (or 1 14oz. can of diced tomatoes drained) |
1 large onion, diced |
1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons diced jalapenos |
Directions:
1. Brown the meat and drain the excess fat. 2. combine all the ingredients in a pot. 3. simmer for ab 30 - 45 mins. |
