simple one of a kind burger that's easy to prepare. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 egg, beaten |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
3/4 cup soft breadcrumbs |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2/3 cup water |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
1 (10 ounce) can beef soup with beans |
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 medium green bell pepper, cut into strips |
4 onion rolls |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine the first 9 ingredients, and shape into 4 patties. 2. Place in a large skilletover medium heat, and cook each patty for 4 minutes on each side, and remove from skillet. 3. In same skillet, whisk together soup, 2/3 cup water, thyme, and bell peppers, cook and stir until mixture is well blended. 4. Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer 5 minutes or until burgers are thoroughly cooked. 5. Spoon over onion rolls. |
