This dip can be made ahead for a party then reheated later in the day. I have served this several times and guest really enjoy it. Ingredients:
32 ounces cream cheese |
2 sticks butter ( no substitutions) |
1 tsp garlic powder |
1 lb fresh lump crab meat (check for shells) |
1/2 cup pale dry sherry |
Directions:
1. Over low hear in saucepan mix the butter and cream cheese until melted and smooth. Add in the garlic powder and gently stir in the crab meat and sherry. Simmer a few minutes until the flavors have time to come together. Place in chafing dish or crock pot on low. Serve with toast points. |
