This is an old recipe that I've used for a long time. The level of heat depends on which peppers you use and how much chile pepper you like. Enjoy. Ingredients:
3 (28 ounce) italian-style diced tomatoes |
2 large onions |
2 green peppers |
2 bell peppers |
2 poblano peppers (or hot banana peppers) |
6 minced garlic cloves |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 cups white vinegar |
3 tablespoons salt |
1 teaspoon hot chili powder |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Chop all ingredients into small even pieces. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 1 1/2 hours or put in a crockpot and let cook for 8 hours on low. |
