This is a sandwich I like to serve in the fall. A fast meal that you can use leftover mashed potatoes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cooked chicken or 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons minced onions |
2 tablespoons celery, diced |
broth |
mashed potatoes (optional) |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a skillet. 2. Add onion, celery and bread crumbs. 3. Cook until golden brown. 4. Stir in chicken, salt and pepper to taste. 5. Add a little broth and the can of mushroom soup. 6. Serve over buns. 7. Or make a chicken sandwich with 2 slices of bread, top with mashed potatoes and then the chicken mixture. |
