My mom would make these sandwiches while I was growing up. Now I make them for my own children. For variety, I sometimes substitute tuna or ham for the chicken. Ingredients:
2 cups cubed cooked chicken |
1/2 cup cubed process cheese (velveeta) |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
4 submarine rolls (6 inches) |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Spread on rolls; wrap each in heavy-duty foil. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 4 servings. |
