This dip is so warm and yummy , it makes spinach taste good. Serve this dip with toasted slices of sourdough bread or with crackers strong enough for scooping. Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter |
1/4 cup onion chpd. |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 tbsp all-purpose flour |
1 3/4 c half & half |
2 pkgs frozen chpd spinach thawed & drained |
1 can water chestnuts, slice and drained |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1 pkg. dried vegie soup mix |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese. |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Melt butter in lg. saucepan, add onion and garlic; cook & stir until mixture boils and thickens, about 2 min. 2. Remove pan from heat. Stir in spinach,water chestnuts, cheese and vegie soup mix. Spoon dip into a 1 qt. casserole dish. Sprinkle with parmesan. 3. Bake until bubbly 10-15 min. Serve warm |
